See Cinema 4D in Action at Vertex 2018

On March 13 2018, there's a brand new event from the makers of 3D Artist and 3D World, which aims to connect and inspire CG artists. Vertex 2018 is the event and MAXON will be exhibiting and presenting Cinema 4D there.

It's been a long time since MAXON got involved with a major event in the UK. Over the past five years or so, we've attended a number of smaller shows, as well as our own MAXON UK Cinema 4D Training Days. Until now, we've felt there's not been a major event that's fully relevant to our customers. But Vertex is very targeted and looks good for both established artists and those looking to get into the industry.

What is VERTEX 2018?

Vertex is a one-day event on March 13, which aims to provide a day of learning and networking for any artist interested in computer graphics (CG). You'll find experts from every industry and discipline in CG, from games and VFX through to VR, covering character conception, real-time creation and more.

Vertex offers:
  • Keynote sessions - presented by leading experts in the industry.
  • Workshops - where you can get your hands on and learn about a range of software.
  • Ask an artist - where you can ask a professional artist questions about anything.
  • Portfolio reviews - where you can get advice on how to improve your work.
  • Recruitment fair - where you'll find a range of top studios looking for new talent.
  • Expo - where you can chat with staff from a range of manufacturers including MAXON.
  • Networking - which is a special evening event allowing you to mix with industry veterans.

How is MAXON Getting Involved With Vertex?

We're delighted to be supporting the event, with both a stand in the Expo area and a talk on the exhibition stage area. Come along and you'll be able to ask MAXON staff anything you like about Cinema 4D or BodyPaint 3D. You'll also likely see Cinema 4D in action in some of the keynote sessions, from artists who use our software to create their amazing work.

Jonas Pilz will be presenting Cinema 4D Mograph - Motion Graphics Made Easy. In his presentation, Jonas will show you Cinema 4D's powerful MoGraph tools and how quickly and easily you can create eye-catching 3D motion graphics. Whether it's abstract animations, moving fonts or breaking objects, you`ll learn how easy it is to set up any kind of 3D graphics animation in Cinema 4D. Jonas will show you that MoGraph setups are also great for VFX and visualization purposes.

MAXON's stand at the show will be at Booth 8 in the exhibition area, close to the keynote theatre. Jonas's Cinema 4D talk will be at 10.40am in the exhibition area on the 3rd floor. This means that you'll be able to see his talk even with a FREE entry ticket.
